Faces of Grace: Get to Know Our Staff Part 2

Welcome back to the second chapter of “Faces of Grace: Get to Know Our Staff.” In this edition, we continue to share the vibrant stories and voices of the individuals who form the backbone of GraceWorks Ministries. Each staff member is a testament to the spirit of giving and the shared commitment to our mission. In their own words, they reveal why they’re drawn to this work, the moments that stand out in their service, and the personal touches they bring to our community. It’s more than just a job; it’s a calling that resounds with hope, help, and healing.

Why do you work at GraceWorks?

  • Molly Croushure – I work at GraceWorks because I know lives are changed for the better because of the services we provide. The hope of Jesus is oozing out of this place!
  • Jo Ann Hendrix – Enjoy helping others and feeling a part of something that helps others through tough times and situations.
  • Hedalyn Rodriquez – Obssesed with mission! You couldn’t pay me a million dollars to do something I do not love and like! Waking up to come to work is easy because work feels meaningful, the mission feels personal and my co-workers and team is the best!
  • Brent Moelker – I started as a volunteer in the Food Pantry. Through my time as a volunteer, I grew to love the mission of GW. A part time position opened in 2022 for a Program Assistant. I was able to help neighbors with their rent and utilities. More and More I began to see how God has called GraceWorks to be filled with folks who help stand in the gap for our neighbors in need. I am now in my second year and am more convinced that GW is the best place to work in middle TN. Yay!

What is your favorite moment from working at GraceWorks?

  • Molly Croushure – One night, I was at the office after hours. Two gentlemen showed up at the door, having just been released from the local jail. They walked to GraceWorks with nothing in their hands or their pockets, looking for help. We were able to provide these gentlemen with food from our food pantry, coats from our thrift store, and bus tickets home to Texas. It was divine providence that our CEO and I had stayed after hours that day.
lThis was a beautiful example of the fact that the generosity and heart of this community is why we’re able to tangibly provide for people in the middle of a crisis.
  • Jo Ann Hendrix – Seeing the smiles of faces of those we serve.
  • Hedalyn Rodriquez – I personally LOVE testimonies! and anytime i hear a Neighbor or donor testimony, my knees go weak and the tears start rolling!
  • Brent Moelker – The Mobile Food Pantry is always a favorite place. Being able to see so the beauty of 150 families served in such a short period of time. It is also so much fun to see 75 – 100 volunteers join together for a common goal of service.

What is your favorite lunch meal?

  • Molly Croushure – Whatever is nearest and edible….
  • Jo Ann Hendrix – Salad
  • Hedalyn Rodriquez – Authentic Tacos!!

What is your office superpower?

  • Molly Croushure – My voice (apparently) sounds exactly like Alicia’s sometimes. Call me a shapeshifter, I guess??
  • Jo Ann Hendrix – Making books and videos disappear!
  • Hedalyn Rodriquez – Positivity! dad jokes and supernatural encouragement
  • Brent Moelker – The word “Yes!”

What is your favorite bible verse?

  • Molly Croushure – Matthew 11:28-30. I love how clearly and sweetly these verses depict Jesus’ heart and character.
  • Jo Ann Hendrix – I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
  • Hedalyn Rodriquez – James 4:77 “Submit to God, resist the devil and he wil flee from you. Draw near to me – and I will draw near to you”
  • Brent Moelker – Galatians 4: 4 But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. 6 And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” 7 So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.
