FRANKLIN, TN – On Monday, August 10, 2026, GraceWorks Ministries hosted its 18th Annual Golf Fore GraceWorks Tournament. The event took place at Brentwood Country Club, where 144 golfers gathered to celebrate and raise funds for GraceWorks’ mission of providing food, shelter and support services to vulnerable residents in Williamson County and Middle Tennessee.
Dozens of local businesses sponsored the event, with Nelson Mazda taking the lead as Platinum Sponsor. “Nelson Mazda is honored to partner with GraceWorks Ministries and the difference they make for families throughout Middle Tennessee,” said Chad Custer of Nelson Mazda. “Golf Fore GraceWorks is a fun opportunity to come together as a community, support our neighbors, and help GraceWorks provide hope and assistance to families who need it most.”
Nelson Mazda parked a prize near the entrance that caught everyone’s eye: a brand-new Mazda CX-5. They offered a free 36-month lease on this crossover SUV to any golfer who hit a hole-in-one. Unfortunately, no one from this year’s tournament drove home in the new vehicle, but there were plenty of opportunities to win other prizes.
The team from Church of the City won this year’s tournament. Robbie Roate, Peyton Henry, Josh Richter and Mason Tanner walked away with a free round of golf at a premier local golf club as well as first-place bragging rights.
The rest of the awards and prizes were dominated by the Costello family. Tim Costello took home the $1,000 putting contest award. Gil Costello (Tim’s son) was the top fundraiser, and Will Costello (also Tim’s son) and his team won the Best Dressed Award, arguably the most coveted prize at Golf Fore GraceWorks.
None of the golfers could escape the extreme heat and humidity, but GraceWorks did its best to keep them cool with ice cold towel stations, multiple beverage carts, and a Golf Fore tradition: GraceWorks CEO Alicia Bell distributed frozen candy bars to golfers throughout the tournament.
Golf Fore gives donors and sponsors the chance to connect and compete while making a real difference for people in their community. This year’s event was a fundraising success, and the team at GraceWorks is already looking forward to next year’s event.
