When Hard Work Isn’t Enough

Anna* is a single mom who works two jobs. Every day, she leaves her house at 6:30 a.m. and doesn’t get home until after 8:30 p.m.

Despite all the hours she puts in, she cannot keep up with the cost of living.

In her darker moments, Anna feels defeated. She’s doing everything she can but feels like it’s never enough.

She even took a financial planning course at her church. As much as she tried to follow the steps, the numbers couldn’t lie: Her income was too small to cover her expenses. And working more hours was impossible.

Thankfully, Anna discovered GraceWorks and received wraparound help with her rent, groceries, and utilities. Getting support didn’t suddenly solve all of Anna’s problems, but she said it allowed her to “finally breathe.” And in that breathing room, something beautiful happened: Anna got a chance to dream about a better future.

Not long after, she found a higher-paying job that allowed her to quit waiting tables and spend more time with her kids.

This Christmas, because of donors like you, Anna will have the space to create memories and moments that matter.

Thousands of our neighbors across Williamson County are facing seemingly impossible situations this holiday season. They need a moment to catch their breath, be present with their families, and plan for their future.

You can provide that moment.

Will you donate today and give food, shelter, and support to families in need?
